GPC is marking five years as a leading independent provider of specialised polymer consultancy and product development services. Established in 2017, GPC quickly built a reputation as the go-to company for addressing complex materials and medtech challenges. Since then, we have been guided by our overriding operational principle of ‘Materials Partnering Design’ and our founding values of ‘Fundamentals First’, ‘Persistence’ and 'Sustainability’. Today, our commitment to our partners and clients, and to addressing demand for sustainable materials and packaging solutions, is reflected in the expansion of our services to include state-of-the-art formulation, multilayer co-extrusion and testing capabilities. Special thanks to our staff who have worked tirelessly delivering projects and meeting deadlines. H2020 provides research and innovation funding for multi-national collaboration projects, taking great ideas from proof-of-concept to the market.
One such breakthrough is the ACORN Blood Pack project.
Through this project GPC, along with our development partners Ducit Medical, Ireland, Haemotronic, Italy, and Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, UK are developing a complete blood pack system ‘ACORN-BP’. Our ACORN-BP is PVC and DEHP free, with a unique material composition capable of achieving up to 42 days storage stability.
